Since 1987 'Informatie Verre Reizen' publishes 'te gast in ?', a country information series of 35 magazines about long haul tourist destinations (Middle East, North & South America, Africa, Asia and Pacific). With these magazines IVR aims to give tourists a realistic picture of the countries they will visit and a better understanding of the host people. By reading the magazines one can create a better picture of what is to be expected or not during one's travels. Besides background information on land and people, the magazines contain practical travel information and news about tourism.
The target audience are all tourists to long haul destinations, both organized and individual travellers. The magazines are mainly sold to touroperators (in the Netherlands and Belgium) who use them to offer their clients a sufficient preparation on their journey.
